Missing in Action.

So ya thought I had died. Not yet. This year work has really picked up for me, so the time I spend here is all about staulking all my pretend friends. The West is in the middle of wildfire season, and we haven't escaped the carnage.
Luckly we don't have all the homes to burn that Calif and Colo do. This fire lasted over a week, one just west of our shangrala lasted a couple of weeks and filled the valley with smoke a few days. It's been one of the hottest summers on record here, and hardly a trace of rain since May. The gardens have done well and soon the tomatoes will overwhelm us. Will post more when work slacks off.

The University of Idaho.

BUMMER

S1 and better-half lost their baby at 11 wks.  Guess we'll have to wait a little longer to be Grands.

Her sister went through the same thing and now has two toddlers, hopefully they will be just as lucky.

On another note it's been freezing rain all day, so holed up to do some end of year paperwork.

COLDER THAN A WITCH'S TIT !

Yeah, that what it's been in these parts since 2013 reared its head.

It's a favorite winter saying where I grew up.

Second most used "It's Cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass
monkey"

It's been below zero for the last four days and last year it was record warm 50*.

And this guy makes it look so fun !

It wouldn't be so miserable if they hadn't said we need to shut down our wood stove for the inversion.

Any whooo this year is already better than last when this happened.

Snuggling up to somebody woolly and warm, till the tulips pop.
