Well the other evening I was layin on the bed watching Leno while the Mrs was getting ready for bed, AND out of nowhere there is a BAT circling the room, COOL.
Only it didn't fly back out, it just kept going in a circle and after a few minutes it must have been getting tired as the circles started spiraling lower. Well it was diving low enough that I had to roll out of bed to get out of it's way. About then I was screaming like a little girl. There are 3 things I don't like closeup Bats, Rats, and Snakes.
Anyways it finally went back out into the kitchen so we closed all the doors and propped open the front and back doors. It finally landed on top of a bookcase in the living room to take a nap, so we just went to bed and haven't seen it since. It was a lot like this clip I found on U-tube, cept with more screaming !

Our house is over a century old so it does have a few holes, strange it doesn't happen more often. We have been here for almost 40 years and I can only remember it happening one other time long ago.

Bambi's Dad
We've had to chase this guy out of our garden the last two days, peas seem to be his favorite.
We may need to borrow a dog to keep him away, or does anyone like venison, I don't.

BONDED BY GREASE
Well Fathers Day came and went.
S3 and I bonded over repairing the Mrs' car. Her throw out bearing was bad and she wouldn't drive it till it was fixed. Pulled the engine on Sunday and put it all back together on Monday. He called in with car problems to get the day off, didn't tell them it was his Mom's car.
Anyway it's an OLD car but gets 40MPG, would have cost more to hire it done than car is worth.
Was only a 100 deadpres to do it ourselves and put in a new clutch and rear main while we had it apart.
Any way the Mrs is back in business, watch out DI she's on her way.
Oh yeah Fathers Day, S1/DIL stopped by with some special cupcakes.
S2 took us to the White Owl for lunch on the rooftop patio.
And we checked out the booths at SummerFest.

Postal FAIL
Well last weekend it was the letter-carriers food drive.
At S2's house that didn't happen.
Seemed to be a problem, Bee swarms, guess that wasn't covered in their oath.
Monday we called the animal control to ask for advice.
He sent over a bee keeper to get em, also was another swarm in the tree above.
Anyway the mailman returned but not in time to get the goods!
